Inconel 925 is a nickel-iron-chromium superalloy that boasts a significant nickel content (around 42–46%), along with chromium (approximately 19–23%), iron (the balance), molybdenum, copper, titanium, and aluminum, which together provide impressive corrosion resistance and strength. Inconel 926, on the other hand, contains a notable amount of nickel (about 24–26%), chromium (around 19–21%), iron (approximately 42–50%), molybdenum (about 6–7%), and copper, with nitrogen and other elements further enhancing its corrosion resistance. These compositions result in remarkable mechanical properties, including high tensile and yield strength, good elongation and toughness, as well as resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking in challenging environments.
